Starting your morning with a nutritious and delicious smoothie is a great way to boost your energy and kickstart your day. Here’s one of my favorite morning smoothie I have been loving the Garden Of Life Smoothie for nearly 8 years and I drink this every morning.
Meal replacement shakes have become a popular option for people who are always on the go and don’t have time to prepare a full meal. This is usually my breakfast in the morning and let me tell you it taste delicious. They provide the necessary nutrients and vitamins that a person needs in a single serving. They come in different flavors and can be a convenient way to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
When choosing the best tasting meal replacement shakes, it’s important to pay attention to the ingredients. Some shakes may have added sugars or artificial flavors that can affect the overall taste and nutritional value. For me I pay attention to the best ingredients with no sugar, good protein and organic.
The garden of Life Meal Replacement (Chocolate or Protein) is the best;
- The chocolate flavor is delicious, making it easy to stick to a healthy diet.
- With 20g of complete plant-based protein and 6g of fiber in just 150 calories per serving, it’s a great way to stay full and satisfied.
- Raw Organic Meal also includes digestive enzymes and live probiotics for proper digestion and absorption.
My go to breakfast smoothie
- 1 scoop of chocolate powder or Raw Organic Protein (choose a high-quality brand that offers a balance of protein, carbs, and fats. This can be whey, plant-based, or any other preference you have)
- 1 tablespoon of chia seeds (for omega-3 fatty acids and fiber)
- 1 tablespoon of almond or peanut butter (for healthy fats)
- 1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder (for that extra chocolate kick and antioxidants)
- 1/2 a frozon banana (for natural sweetness and potassium)
- 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk or another milk of choice (as the liquid base)
- 1 teaspoon of honey or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
- A pinch of sea salt (to enhance the chocolate flavor)
Optional Add-ins:
- 1 tablespoon of rolled oats (for added fiber and a thicker texture)
- A handful of spinach (you won’t taste it, and it adds a serving of veggies)
- 1/4 avocado (for added creaminess and healthy fats)
- Supplemental powders as needed (e.g., greens powder, maca powder, or collagen)
- Place all the ingredients in a blender.
- Blend on high until everything is smooth and well mixed.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary. If the shake is too thick, you can add more milk to reach your desired consistency.
- Pour into a glass or a shaker bottle if you’re on the go, and enjoy!
Note: When using this shake as a meal replacement (protein), be sure to consume a well-balanced diet for your other meals. This shake is meant to supplement a balanced diet and not to be the sole source of nutrition.
Remember, the ideal meal replacement will provide a good balance of protein, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates. Adjust ingredients and portions based on your nutritional needs and personal preferences.
