Are we ready for Easter again Mama’s? We need to prepare for our little bunnies making this Easter and make it extra special as the spring season approaches. It’s incredible how quickly Easter seems to have arrived this year! It feels like just yesterday we were celebrating the start of spring, and now we’re already preparing for Easter festivities. Time really does fly, doesn’t it? But I have to say, I’m excited to share a few ideas to help you celebrate Easter and make the most of this special holiday with your loved ones.
Here are some tips and ideas to help you prepare for our little bunnies:
Egg Decorating:
It is really great creating the best egg decorating with your kids, it is a really nice activity to bond together. So you can set up a creative station with hard-boiled eggs, paints, markers, stickers, and other decorative supplies. Encourage your kids to unleash their imagination and decorate eggs in their own unique styles. You can design so many colourful patterns with their favourite colours. Don’t forget to display your masterpieces proudly as part of your Easter decor.
Easter Basket Gift Ideas
I love decorating the perfect Easter basket, offer a selection of thoughtful and unique gift ideas to go into the basket. From handmade treats and to soft toys, books, and personalised gifts. I love to add some healthy snacks into our boy Easter basket which balance out the sugary treats with some healthier options to promote overall well-being such as fresh fruit, nuts, or homemade granola bars for a nutritious snack. Include items like egg decorating kits, paint sets, stickers, or crafting materials for making Easter cards and decorations.
Easter Egg Hunts:
This has to be my favourite game when I go Easter Egg hunt with my little boy when gathering baskets, colorful eggs, and other supplies into the back yard, making sure the game begins with careful planning and preparation. You can organise an Easter egg hunt in your backyard or local park for an egg-citing adventure, whichever is your preference. Fill plastic eggs with treats like chocolates, and small toys, then hide them around the designated area. I love to add an extra fun by including special “golden eggs” with surprise prizes inside, my little boy gets so excited when he finds the the golden egg.
Bake Easter Treats Together:
It is always nice to spend quality time in the kitchen with your kids baking a healthy delicious Easter treats. Let your little chefs help with mixing, rolling, and decorating.
Create Easter Crafts:
Get crafty! with Easter-themed DIY or from your local shop which they have so many cute easter crafts that you can make with your little one. From making Easter bonnets and bunny ears to crafting paper plate chicks and egg carton bunnies. These handmade creations will serve as adorable decorations and cherished keepsakes for years to come.
Easter Decor:
Craft a banner with bunny-shaped cutouts strung together with ribbon or twine. Hang it across your fireplace mantel or along a wall for a whimsical touch. Create a beautiful wreath using pastel-colored faux flowers, Easter eggs, and a festive bow. Hang it on your front door in your garden when you start your easter egg hunt with your little ones. You can also place bunny figurines of various sizes and styles around your home. You can opt for ceramic, wooden, or plush bunnies to add a festive Easter vibe to shelves. I love creating really nice Easter decor around the house. My litte one gets really excited when the Easter bunny comes round.
Read Easter Stories:
No Easter storytime would be complete without the timeless classic, “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” I love reading my little boy a good easter book every year which gives it a really nice springtime vibe and the wonders of nature. So gather your children close, open a book, and let the enchantment of Easter stories fill your hearts with joy and wonder.
Attend Easter Events:
You can check out local Easter events and activities happening in your community such as going to the zoos and themed festivals, there are plenty of opportunities for kids to experience the magic of Easter outside the home. Look for events that offer family-friendly entertainment, interactive games, and opportunities for children to connect with others in the community.
As you prepare for Easter with your kids, remember that the most meaningful moments are often found in simple joys and cherished traditions. Whether you’re decorating eggs, hunting for treats, sharing stories of Easter, it is always nice to create beautiful moments with your little one that will last a lifetime.
