Hey everyone, today I’m going to share some tips and tricks that have helped me close the day with positivity now that I have tucked my little boy to bed, Mama has got time for herself. Life can be full of responsibilities, challenges, and unexpected twists and turns. But with a few simple strategies up your sleeve, you can navigate the ups and downs with grace and positivity. So let’s begin, here are some tips that I’ve found incredibly helpful, and I hope they’ll resonate with you too!
Reflect:
Before you go to bed, take a moment to reflect on your day and celebrate your wins, no matter how small. It could be that you made progress on a personal goal? You completed your coursework? Acknowledging your achievements, big or small, can boost your mood, choose to release any negative emotions or thoughts, allowing yourself to drift off to sleep with a clear and peaceful mind.
Meditation:
As someone who’s always been a bit of a worrier, learning to quiet my mind has been a game-changer. Take a few minutes each night to practice mindfulness meditation, focusing on your breathing, light the candles and letting go of any tension or anxiety.
Gratitude Daily:
Gratitude is a powerful thing that can shift your perspective and open your eyes that surrounds you. Jot down three things I’m grateful for from the day. It could be something as simple. Take time each day to reflect on the things you’re grateful for, whether it’s a roof over your head, a warm cup of coffee, or the love of family and friends.
Tech-Free Wind Down:
Considering my job involves a lot of screen time from solving problems to analysing my work, I’ve realised how crucial it is to step away from technology at least an hour before bedtime and to make sure to blink every so often especially those dry eyes. Try to unplug from screens and engage in calming activities instead. Whether it’s reading a book, listening to soothing music, or practicing gentle yoga, giving your eyes and mind a break from screens can do wonders for your sleep quality and overall well-being.
Practice Self-Care:
Wind down your day with a little self-care that nourishes your body, mind, and soul. Whether it’s taking a warm bath with essential oils, sipping on a calming cup of herbal tea, or practicing a few minutes of deep breathing exercises, prioritise activities that help you relax and recharge.
Set Intentions for Tomorrow:
Instead of letting your mind wander into worry mode as you lay in bed, take control by setting intentions for the day ahead. Visualise how you want your day to to be and what actions you can take to make it happen.
So there you have it, my loves I end each day on a positive note. Remember, positivity is a journey, not a destination, and it’s okay to stumble along the way. But by incorporating these practices into your nightly routine, I promise you’ll start to notice a difference in how you feel. It took me some time to figure everything out especially with a lot of responsibility.
This is something I feel real valuable “The more you feed your mind with positive thoughts“ which offers a great strategy for staying positive in challenging times.
Until next time, stay positive! 🤎
